Dartmoor Walk, January 2012

For the last several years, Jon and I meet mid January to go camping for the week, which has seen us camp out in the middle of Dartmoor during a ‘cyclonic winter storm’ – our tent surrounded by snow and ice, battered on all sides by high winds whilst we were snug inside. During the night and whilst listening to a local BBC radio request show, we phoned in a request asking for Take That’s, Relight my Fire, unfortunately they didn’t play that though we were mentioned.

We’ve climbed Snowdon, leading friends up and across the famous Crib Goch and for once the weather was stunning, clear blue skies providing  incredible views through Wales and into England.

Well, January 5th sees our two good friends Vodka Dave and Tug join us as we head back to Dartmoor – our route is yet to be decided but I hope the attached video from a previous trip, whets the appetite…
